James P. Grusecki, Chairman Emeritus
James P. Grusecki is Chairman Emeritus of Northern Builders, Inc. As one of the firm's two managing principals, Jim is responsible for strategic planning and development of Northern's business opportunities. Jim’s tenure at Northern spans 50 years and has been instrumental in the company's growth.
Jim is an active member of SIOR, AIRE, and is on the Board of Advisors of Roosevelt University's Chicago School of Real Estate. Jim currently serves as Director of the First National Bank of Brookfield and is a Governing Member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra as well as a Trustee of Theatre Aspen. Jim is former board president of Victory Gardens Theater as well as a former director of Gottlieb Memorial Hospital. Mr. Grusecki holds a Bachelor of Arts, Business Administration and Economics from University of St. Thomas in St. Paul Minnesota.
With his wife Brenda, Jim administers their family foundation that funds education, the arts, housing, social service initiatives, and programs. When not in his office, Jim can be found fly fishing on the Roaring Fork River.
