St. Francis High School Football Field

This project involved the complete excavation and rebuild of St. Francis High School’s football field, running track, and stadium in Wheaton, Illinois. The facility was designed to support athletic programs and spectator events while providing a modern, durable, and high-performance sports environment.

The scope included removing the existing clay and black dirt to a depth of 18 inches and installing approximately 12,000 tons of aggregate stone beneath a new synthetic turf football field. The project also featured the construction of a new high school running track, a 1,000 SF press box, new home and visitor aluminum bleachers, and the installation of approximately 50,000 brick pavers around the field and track for patron access.

Conveniently situated in Wheaton, the facility is easily accessible via Roosevelt Road (IL-38) and Main Street, with close proximity to I-355 through the Butterfield Road (IL-56) interchange and I-88 via the Winfield Road interchange. These connections provide efficient regional access for students, families, and visiting teams traveling from across DuPage County and the greater Chicagoland area.
