Northern Builders, Inc. was founded in 1927 by Paul Grusecki, who combined the classic American traits of hard work and enterprise to build a construction business. His intolerance for the term “good enough” has resulted in a tradition of excellence and the absolute highest standards for quality. Over the course of 99 years, Northern Builders has grown to be one of the Midwest’s largest and most successful full-service development and construction companies. With clients ranging from emerging businesses to Fortune 500 corporations, Northern has participated in the design, development, and construction of over 78 million square feet of industrial, manufacturing, office and retail properties.
Today, three generations of the Grusecki family have continued to operate Northern with the same hands-on approach, entrepreneurial spirit, and personal commitment to excellence since 1927.

Summer Internship Program
Northern is proud to celebrate our summer intern, Jack Dewbray, and the work he accomplished this summer.
From the office to the field, Jack gained firsthand experience in industrial development and a deeper understanding of what it takes to bring projects to life.
We are proud to invest in the next generation of talent through our Summer Internship Program, giving young professionals the opportunity to learn, grow, and experience the industry firsthand.

Pulte Teerling Lakes Project
Northern is pleased to announce that we have broken ground on a new project for PulteGroup.
Upon completion, the 12,384-square-foot Teerling Lakes Amenity Center will offer a wide range of amenities for residents of the Teerling Lakes community in New Lenox, including indoor pickleball courts, a fitness center, golf simulator, billiards area, clubroom with kitchenette, restrooms and locker rooms, a covered outdoor deck, and outdoor bocce ball courts.
This project reflects Northern’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality community amenities that promote recreation, wellness, and meaningful neighborhood connections. We appreciate the opportunity to partner with PulteGroup and look forward to bringing this vision to life.
